Together for Autism Community Event
You are invited to the annual Together for Autism FREE community event, taking place on Saturday, April 25th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Hadley Philemon High School. This initiative began at PETES and has continued to grow over the years. It is now a partnership between the Western Quebec School Board and Trait d’Union Outaouais, a provincial non-profit organization that provides support, activities, and respite services to families that include individuals with autism. Last year, we welcomed over 400 participants, and we are expecting an even larger turnout this year, given that it is now open to all WQSB families as well as members of Trait d’Union. The mayor attended last year along with several other local politicians, showing strong community support for this meaningful initiative. A day like this is all about coming together to celebrate differences. We recognize that large crowds can be overwhelming for some individuals, and just as in everyday life, we are committed to providing adaptations and alternative spaces to help accommodate the needs of all participants. Everyone is welcome to attend. The registration link can be found on the flyer below.
