I am thrilled and deeply honored to have been appointed Principal of South Hull Elementary School. I look forward to joining this vibrant school community and continuing to serve as a school leader within the Western Québec School Board. This new opportunity is both exciting and meaningful, and I am eager to work alongside students, staff, families, and community partners to support student success and well-being.
As I step into this role, I would like to acknowledge the outstanding leadership of the previous principal, Mr. Erick Tremblay, who has recently moved on to an exciting new position as Human Resources Director. Under his guidance, South Hull Elementary School has flourished, and the strong foundation he has built is evident throughout the school community. His dedication, vision, and commitment to students and staff have left a lasting impact, and while he will certainly be missed, we wish him every success in his new role.
I am committed to continuing the many great initiatives, traditions, and successes that are already in place at South Hull Elementary School. At the same time, I look forward to bringing my own perspective, energy, and leadership style to the school as we continue to grow together. I believe in fostering a positive, inclusive, and collaborative learning environment where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. I am excited to begin this journey with the South Hull community and to build on the excellent work that is already happening across the school.
Throughout my career in education, I have remained committed to creating learning environments where students thrive, staff feel valued and supported, and families and community members are active partners in education. With over three decades of experience in education and more than fifteen years in school administration, I have had the privilege of serving as a teacher, vice-principal, principal, and educational leader in elementary, secondary, alternative, and adult education settings.
Most recently, I served as Vice-Principal of Pontiac High School and previously held replacement administrative positions at Hull Adult Education Centre and McDowell Elementary School. Prior to joining the Western Québec School Board, I began my career with the English Montreal School Board as a kindergarten teacher and later transitioned into administration. My career journey led me to the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board where I continued to serve as a principal at several schools.
My educational background includes a Master of Arts, Bachelor of Education, leadership graduate certificate programs, from McGill University, and teaching certifications in both Ontario and Québec. These experiences have reinforced my passion for lifelong learning and continuous improvement as an educational leader.
I am excited to bring my experience, dedication, and passion for education to South Hull. I look forward to working collaboratively with students, staff, families, and the broader community to build upon the school’s successes and create opportunities for every learner to flourish.
